Weinhalle - Wine Store in Frankfurt Nordend

“Family, friends and food” are high in course with the relaxed Nordend scene and a wine store becomes not only a supplier but a popular meeting point. For almost 20 years Jochen Müller, Thomas Schlepütz and the rest of the savvy team have been „assisting“ a demanding clientele who stroll in for a chat, taste a sip or a recommendation. At the end of the day, these guys know what half of the neighbourhood is having for dinner.

The charming shop overlooking Merianplatz in Frankfurt Nordend (next to Berger Strasse) offers the perfect atmosphere for appreciation, and the shelves hold around 600 different wines, Sekt and Champagnes from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and a small selection of New-World labels. Emphasis is laid on region typical “terroir”-influenced wines reflecting the pure style of the respective vintner.

Jochen and Thomas are well connected and in daily contact with the winegrowers which products they offer and are well informed to deliver competent advice. The Weinhalle holds regular wine-tastings – look up this site for upcoming events!

For visitors in town and suited for a pre-dinner gathering, the Weinhalle can organize short notice uncomplicated wine-tastings for groups above 6 persons. A great opportunity to get to savour and learn a little, for example, about the Rheingau region just outside of Frankfurt and its world famous wines.
