Margarete - New German Cuisine restaurant in Frankfurt
A young Frankfurt restaurant but already a classic for German new cuisine, international standards and a Mediterranean touch.
International hospitality with Frankfurt roots: The Margarete restaurant is situated in the historic centre of Frankfurt, a mere five minutes metro ride from the trade fair grounds. Its premises - open from morning to late at night - very „lofty“ and industrial, permit a high degree of flexibility and multi-functionality, making it an ideal location for group dinners from 8 to 80 but also for a more intimate tête à tête or discreet business dinner or lunch. It is a café, a bistro, serving excellent lunch menus and, in the evening, one of the really exciting restaurants in town.
The staff conducted by Raffaela Schöbel and the kitchen ensemble orchestrated by Simon Horn grew together at the Blumen (Simon's first restaurant) and has developed into a dream team which enjoys the respect and admiration of many "who’s are who's" in town for a tasteful ambience, relaxed atmosphere and culinary grandeur which may, best be characterized as combining innovation with traditional - old classic recipes are re-interpreted or serve as inspiration for something completely new. No lack of creativity and diversity at the Margarete.
