Sèvres - French restaurant in Frankfurt
The Sèvres has been ranking among Frankfurt's top fine dining restaurants for many years. In an absolutely unique ambience, maître Marco Wenninger and his crew create classic French haute-cuisine, using only the freshest regional premium products and international ingredients of the highest quality. The service is discreet, yet outstanding - several dishes are filleted, carved or flambéed by the maître himself right at the table.
The restaurant borrows its name from the beautifully displayed Feuillet porcelain, coming from one of the leading factories in Europe - in Sèvres, just outside of Paris.
Enjoy a foie-gras parfait with Pedro Ximénez jelly, pickled cherries and walnut brioche, followed by sole roasted in one piece with fine leaf spinach and "grenaille" potatoes or a beef fillet gratinated with duck-rillettes and have a chocolate brittle praline with Cassis and guava ice cream for the grand finale. Wine connoisseurs may choose from a fine selection of vintages coming from the owners' family vineyard „Prinz von Hessen“ and from other extraordinary vineyards worldwide.
Despite being a true gourmet restaurant, the Sèvres is actually quite affordable, offering reasonably priced 3 course lunch and dinner menues - a perfect spot for a business meeting during a trade fair day or a relaxed dinner after your last meetings, especially as it is located just across the street from the fair grounds and conference center and around the corner from the financial district.
If you visit the Sèvres for dinner, you shouldn't miss out for a drink at famous Jimmy's Bar afterwards.
