The Nachtleben is the little brother of the Batschkapp. Centrally situated and easily accessible on the Konstablerwache square, it has been a leading trendsetter for newcomer bands in Germany for two decades. Many, in the meantime established acts, local and from elsewhere, started here on Nachtleben's small stage... Rammstein, Sportfreunde Stiller, Snow Patrol, Travis, No Doubt - just to name a few.
When no concerts take place, Nachtleben is also home to several regular theme parties, like KarreraKlub (Indie, Retro, BritPop, Alternative), TanzTrieb (Techno), Britpop Strikes Again (well.. Britpop :-), Atomic (Indie/Pop for queers), Dead Kennys Party (Punk, GothRock, DeathRock, 80s and more) and several others.
The street level with a terrace overlooking the square (no, it is not the most beautiful square, but it is as central as can be and right in the middle of Frankfurt's downtown shopping district) is, also during the day, a cafe and bar, while concerts and parties happen after dark in the basement.
