Dates for 2017 to be announced (2016 took place 9th + 10th July)
The Schweizer Strasse in Sachsenhausen has a Parisian flair, with many fashionable or kinky stores and "gemütlich" or bohéme restaurants.
Once a year the local gastronomers and shop owners stage a wonderful party - always with a country or region as a theme - with delicious food, lots of music and dance and a fantastic atmosphere - Sachsenhauseners are a merry folk!
Traditionally this fest only lasted a day.
As from 2016 it will now take place on two days - Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th July
For a little more confortable and quiet lunch or dinner we recommend for lovers of Italian cuisine the wonderful Trattoria Casa Mia. Francophiles looking for that rive-gauche feeling are well taken care of at the Brasserie du Sud.
In 2015 the theme was Mexico ....... visitors, with and without sombreros, enjoyed muchos tacos y margaritas and mariachis galore! Viva la fiesta!
In 2016 there appears to be no specific country theme.
