Saturday 10th September 2016
Always in early September, the Rotlint Strasse festival was one of the first neighbourhood get together's in town and dates back to 1983. Since the very beginning, the Rotlintstrassenfest is organized by the neighbourhood office of the Green party.
In one of Nordend's most charming streets it is the only Frankfurt fest that still retains a down- to-earth friends and neighbours character when all other fests have reached commercial proportions which have nothing more to do with the objective of these festivities. Here one still finds children selling their Playmobil castle or Lego blocks while their parents offer homemade cakes or gather signatures against TTIP, for petitions aimed at preventing the construction of an autobahn tunnel or to put a stop to rental price increases.
|Opening hours||Sat 12:00-01:00
|Getting there||Public transport highly recommended: U4 to Merianplatz or Höhenstrasse|
